Grass Roots Programme
The NSEA Grass Roots Programme is designed to give pupils the
opportunity to develop skills which they need to master prior to
competiting in NSEA events.
It is designed for both those with their own horses who are starting to
compete and non horse-owning riders who are learning to ride at a training facility.
From the Grass Roots Programme, (levels 1, 2 & 3 ) riders progress
to a series of Grass Roots and Start Up Competitions (level 4) before
being introduced to competitions at national level (Mini )
Start Up Competitions
These local events are designed to encourage riders to participate in competitions, whilst having extra support and encouragement. The aim is to give riders a broad base of experience. Jumping classes are at 40, 50 & 60cm. Competitions may also include gymkhana games, showing classes etc. See specific schedules for details.
Riders may be led in 40cm classes.
Ponies may be shared by two riders in the same class unless the class is a qualifier.
